MonaLisa Twins Show Their Innovation with Pair of Videos

In today’s day and age, there are hundreds of bands popping up each day. How bands find a way to separate themselves from the pack are by going above and beyond in places where few others go ?

MonaLisa Twins

While at one point in time, a music video for an indie band would have been unheard of, thanks to bands like OK Go and their innovative use of the music video as a tool to separate themselves from every other indie band that has that quintessential indie sound, the MonaLisa Twins go a step farther.

With no need to rely on treadmills, the two of them, Mona Wagner and Lisa Wagner, let their strong voices do the heavy lifting while letting the videos take them into the next step of recognition.

In the video for “When We’re Together,” the viewer gets to watch a mural get painted by passersby in Camden, England, the art-district of London. The short, yet sweet, song which subconsciously gets you to tap your feet and brighten your day, is an excellent display of the band’s creativity to go along with their song-writing ability.

On the other side of the coin, the duo gets far deeper on “The Wide, Wide Land.” Written for their deceased grandmother, the song uses a haunting melody which complements their voices exquisitely while the video portrays a bucolic British countryside.

Overall, this duo looks to be a force to be reckoned with moving forward as their fantastic music videos go along with their beautiful voices perfectly.
