5 Concert Tours To Look Forward To In 2014

A new year means a new leg of tours from some of our favourites artists. Of the many tours that have already been announced, below are five concerts we cannot wait to get started!

5.) Jake Bugg

This adorable little brit stole our hearts back in 2012 with the release of his debut self-titled album, that honed the instant hit single “Lightning Bolt”. By November of 2013 Jake Bugg finally gave us a little bit more by releasing his second album titled Shangri La. This year Jake will begin his North American tour with stops in Toronto and Montreal. If you are a fan of Bob Dylan, The Beatles, or Johnny Cash, this is the show you want to see.

4.) HAIM

The sisters of HAIM left their mark last year when they hit up the festival circuit multiple times. After gaining more and more speed the ladies finally released their debut album Days Are Gone with much applause and sheer happiness from fans. When the girls announced their 2014 summer tour it came as no surprise that many dates sold out almost instantly. In fact, San Fran and NYC each have two nights of performances that have already sold out! HAIM takes the stage in Canada in Toronto, and Vancouver. If you are feeling the girl power, this is one tour you will want to score tickets for…fast.

3.) Arcade Fire

After a year of mega attention and success, it is safe to say we are all dying to see Arcade Fire this year. In support of their album Reflektor the band will take the stage at some of the biggest arenas in America. The theme during the Reflektor Tour is to expect the expected and to be prepared to dress up and get funky! This tour’s highlight has the bands last performance in their home town of Montreal for a full fledged outdoor concert.

2.) Lorde

After a highly incredible year, Lorde announced an upcoming tour in 2014. The rise of her hit single “Royals” brought the 17-year old from New Zealand major fame and success. During 2013 Lorde picked up small shows here and there but 2014 marks the year that she showcases all her talents with a complete tour. The only disappointment is the one lone Canadian date in Toronto.

1.) Jay Z: Magna Carter World Tour

Was there ever really a doubt that Jay Z would top the list of concerts to look forward to this year? I’m not even sure I need to write anything here to convince you that the Jay Z: Magna Carter World Tour is perhaps “the tour” to see in 2014. This mega string of concerts has already begun so if you want tickets you better get them quick!
