Sarah Michelle Gellar Cancels Vogue Subscription After Its ‘Kimye’ Cover Reveal

Sarah Michelle Gellar has publicly announced that she is cancelling her Vogue subscription after the magazine revealed its April issue featuring Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. The Buffy the Vampire Slayer star took to Twitter blatantly confessing that she disapproves of Vogue’s fashion editor Anna Wintour’s controversial choice to feature “Kimye” on its cover.

“Well……I guess I’m cancelling my Vogue subscription,” Gellar tweeted. “Who is with me???”

Several of the blonde bombshell’s fans agreed with her tweet, while Kim Kardashian’s best friend Jonathan Cheban was appalled, rewtweeting “Do u matter?”

Vogue’s editor Anna Wintour defended her outrageous decision (many speculated that Kanye West begged her to place them on the cover) to have Kimye grace its cover after previously stating that the only time Kim Kardashian would ever appear in the magazine was “over her dead body.” Wintour has also formerly proclaimed that Kardashian is “the worst thing since socks and sandals,” following rumors that West had begged Wintour to place Kardashian on the coveted Fashion magazine cover.

“As for the cover, my opinion is that it is both charming and touching, and it was, I should add, entirely our idea to do it; you may have read that Kanye begged me to put his fiancée on Vogue’s cover. He did nothing of the sort,” Wintour said.

Though Gellar has yet to appear on the cover of Vogue, she has graced many other magazines in the past, including British Elle, Self, Allure, InStyle, and Seventeen.

Gellar is also supported by fellow celebrity humorists Seth Rogen and James Franco who parodied Kimye’s Vogue cover. This isn’t the first time the actors hilariously ridicule Kardashian and West. Back in November the comedic duo mocked West’s exceptionally mediocre and just plain stupid “Bound 2” video.

I am always delightfully amused to uncover that my bona fide feelings of repugnance towards such incompetent buffoons that is Kardashian and West, are mutually shared amongst other celebrities who are actually talented, have style, class, and brains. Shame on Vogue, but kudos to Sarah, Seth, and James!
