In the city of country music, a 25 year-old singer tries to make it into the pop world, and succeeds in doing so. Chelsea Lankes is indeed one of Nashville‘s misfits, but she found her way into making the kind of music she always wanted to. Although she is a Texas native, Chelsea moved to Nashville to pursue a career as a singer. Since then, she released her breakthrough single “Ghost” a year ago. This year, she dropped a new song, “Down For Whatever.”
“Ghost” and “Down For Whatever” are not the only two songs that show Chelsea’s talent as an alt-pop singer. Earlier this month, Chelsea covered Mötley Crüe’s hit “Too Young To Fall In Love” and instantly got praised for it. Even the band itself shared her cover on their Facebook page. No wonder why she was freaking out on Instagram! Well, girl, you deserved it!
Chelsea made Mötley Crüe‘s song her own by adding her soft and feminine touch, while the band’s original version is much more aggressive, although both versions are very emotional.
Here’s the original version, in case you forgot it, or never heard it!
