Phi Centre Presents The Montreal Premiere of Heaven Knows What (watch)

For those of you who aren’t aware of Montreal’s Phi Centre are in for a treat. This fairly young arts & culture center located in the Old Montreal is a one-stop shop for everything related to high quality art curated in the right ways. Aside from regular exhibitions, live musical shows as well as regular film screenings, they also present a carefully curated selection of high quality full-length or short films for everyone to indulge in. 
Something we’re all anticipating is the Montreal/Quebec premiere of what we truly believe is a piece of ground-breaking cinema. Heaven Knows What is a movie based on the troubled life of heroin addict Arielle Holmes, starring herself in the lead role. Directed by the Safdie brothers (Daddy Longlegs, Lenny Cooke), the film has been nominated and awarded in several international film festivals including Venice Film Festival, Tokyo International Film Festival, Stockholm Film Festival, just to name a few. Watch the epic trailer right here: 

Heaven Knows What will play from June 15 to June 20 at the Phi Centre, with screenings at 7:30pm and 9:30pm.
