When listening to LENORD, you might feel like he makes beats sound like some shit you find in the dollar bin in 30 years when hiphop gets played out. That’s exactly how he wants you to feel. This Toronto producer just released an instrumental EP titled Side Effects worthy of listening to. Stream his experimental take on hip hop below and read what he had to say about it:
Side effects is really the start of Lenord, it kinda explains how my sound came to be and there’s definitely a huge piece of me in there. It’s hard to tell a story without an artist singing it at you now a days but I feel like I’ve finally gotten to the place where people get what I’m saying without my saying it. Toronto made me and moving away for college a lot of the time I feel like I’m making these love stories for my home town. I can imagine places all over the city when I listen to the shit and I remember all the shit me and my homies did there. To many rappers now a days have nothing good to say and my mom taught me if you don’t have anything good to say don’t say anything at all so I let the beats talk.
