La Poutine Week: Which One Of These Are You Drooling For?

In Canada, it is inevitable to say that the national dish (dare we say Traditional?) is the infamous Poutine. The French-Canadian dish which puts fries, gravy and cheese curds together in one bowl is widely-known to be the go-to meal if ever you are visiting Montreal or any other place in Canada.

One thing is for sure: poutine was born in rural Quebec in the 1950’s – To celebrate its long-existence, Montreal tends to host "La Poutine Week" on various occasions, where restaurants jump in to participate in offering their own version of the national dish to food-lovers out there. Developed by the masterminds behind Le Burger Week, Thierry Rassam & Na ́eem Adam, La Poutine Week debuted in Montreal in 2012 with thirty participating restaurants.

Taking place from February 1st to February 7th at 40+ restaurants throughout Montreal (and simultaneous editions taking place in Toronto & Quebec City), the 4th edition of La Poutine Week will be bigger than ever before.

This year’s theme “with friends” encourages poutine-lovers to pencil in their cheat meals, gather a group, head on down to any of the participating restaurants and feast on Quebec’s official comfort food. In addition to all of this, you can also get your wrist wrapped with La Passe Poutine for the week, which is basically A VIP barcelet that provides users with 15% off all specialty poutine dishes at select restaurants and many other exclusive perks.

We are currently giving away 4 passes on our Facebook Page so if you are in any way interested, you should definitely jump on that bandwagon. To get you salivated, scroll through the multitude of poutines available in select-restaurants below and pick and choose which one you'd like to try during the festivities:
