Piece by piece, bit by bit, Radiohead is leaving us.
Leaving the internet, at least. Beginning at 12pm EDT on May 1st, the band's website began slowly decreasing in opacity until all that remained was a blank page. The same can be seen on the band's Twitter, Google+, and Facebook pages.
The news coincides with a series of strange postcards sent from the band to a handful of UK fans. The postcards read
“Sing the song of sixpence that goes ‘Burn the witch’.”
Radiohead has also registered two new companies within the last several months. The companies are called Dawn Chorus LLP. and Dawnnchoruss Ltd. The strange news is unsurprisingly leading to speculation regarding an upcoming album. Originally, Radiohead's ninth studio album was expected to arrive in June. Both of their past surprise releases, In Rainbows and The King of Limbs, were preceded by the registering of companies by the band.
