Classixx And T-Pain Cover A Smiths Video Shot-For-Shot For GoPro

STOP ME

IF YOU THINK

YOU'VE SEEN THIS ONE BEFORE

LA dance duo Classixx have released a new video for their song "Whatver I Want" featuring T-Pain. The video is a shot-for-shot remake of The Smiths' classic 1987 video for "Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before".

In the video, T-Pain plays the part of Moz himself. The video was directed by Daniel Pappas, on a GoPro camera.

The same director is responsible for DJDS' incomparable videos for You Don't Have To Be Alone, Love Songs, Stand Up And Speakand I Don't Love You.

Pappas, in an email to the Fader, compares T-Pain to Morrissey:

"The video was inspired by the song’s attitude towards doing ‘whatever I want,’ T-Pain’s well chronicled struggle with depression, the shared sadness of Smiths fans, and how, through all of the depression and sadness, when you look like Morrissey in whatever way you can, everything is going to be okay."
