Sandy Pearlman & Bones is an experimental hip-hop duo based in Toronto, Canada.
Today marks the date of the release of their latest single "Ape-X", the debut from their upcoming album Spare Parts, which we are premiering right here. An original take on delivering new-age hip hop through storytelling, a style we haven't heard in quite some time here in Canada. If this track is any indication of what's to come for the rest of the album, we sure as hell will be anticipating it from this day on.
Lyrically, the album explores themes of evolution and deterioration using an allegorical virus storyline as a stand-in for how trends and ideas are shared in our contemporary culture.
