LISTEN | Toronto’s The Accents Deliver Perfectly Soft Teen Angst Through Their Debut EP

The Accents are a Vibetronic duo from Toronto, Canada made up of two members, Mathijs Kriebel and Rich Weller.

Their sound hovers over the fusion of Hip Hop, Indie and r&b vibes of the moment. Over the past year the duo have been working away crafting their sound and finishing their debut EP entitled Dreamstate. Moving forward, they look to make a name for themselves amongst the ever growing selection of talent in Toronto.

Their debut Dreamstate holds 7 tracks that will have you vibing while you get lost in your own thoughts all throughout. Their soft approach to the vocal delivery is infectious. They use their emotionally striking lyrics on top of an almost majestic production to offer what seems like the perfect teen-angst EP (which should be an album technically) –

We we’re both going through a lot of changes in our lives. It felt like a way to express ourselves both emotionally and creatively. Simply put, it’s a soundscape to the past year of our lives and we’re very happy with the way it turned out.” – Mathijs Kriebel

We see a promising future for the duo. Until then, get to know them through their Dreamstate EP below:
