LISTEN | Toronto’s idkCharlie Drops Debut Mixtape Exploring Themes of Self-Acceptance, Anxiety and Addiction

He wears his emotions on his sleeve.

idkCharlie is from Toronto and just dropped his debut mixtape titled Sadboy Lullabies

The 7-track project is composed of dark trap, notably produced by fellow Toronto locals MS, Oliverislost, Beau Geste, and Swirl. We get to dive deep into the world inside idkCharlie's mind, offering sharp and back2back cerebral rhymes driven by true grit and emotion. Featuring themes of self-acceptance, anxiety, addiction and hard work. He invites us behind the closed doors of his psyche to explore beyond the happiness that is glamorized within the industry. It’s his most honest music to date, exemplified with the chorus from “What They Say”

“They used to say that I’m going nowhere so I do my drugs and I say I don’t care. Fuck what they want of me, fuck what they say of me – I’ll make it one day. Just watch me.”
