Freshly out of high school, Toronto alternative-pop artist Jayde is gearing to release her new EP this fall, featuring sultry originals including her latest single titled "Perfect Strangers" –
The pop-infused nu-r&b tune evokes a big sound, with a catchy hook and an addictive melody that will stay stuck in your head for quite some time.
Perfect Strangers was written about growing apart. There are those people in your life where in the moment you think that you will always have them close to you; they are a part of who you are. Then suddenly there is this shift in the relationship you have with this person. You begin to grow apart and as the time passes you realize that you don’t know them anymore. “While I was writing this song, I looked the up the term perfect strangers. It means someone you’ve never seen or known before, and I thought that was so interesting because someone you’ve known can easily feel like someone you’ve never known, and that’s exactly what the song was written about.”
